Firefighter’s Park was created in 1993 in honor of three Evanston firefighters killed in the line of duty.
The park was renovated in 2010 by Firefighters Local 742 after it had be vandalized. Firefighter’s Park was rededicated on July 22, 2010.
A memorial to fallen aviation firefighters was dedicated on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at the Hermit Park Open Space in
