Olivia is currently a freshman. She shares that she has transitioned to a new major, environmental studies, which reflects her passion for providing help to the environment. Upon graduation, her career plans are to obtain a job in the sustainability field and advocate for environmental justice.

Olivia is currently involved in the Vietnamese Student Association where she attends events and meetings. She recently participated in a Tet showcase, which is an informational meeting celebrating the “Lunar New Year” and portraying the roots of Vietnamese people and what their traditions are. When not engaged with the association or her academic studies, she focuses on advisor meetings, program opportunities, and career mentorships for other students.

Lieutenant Matthew Avera says, “I have witnessed Olivia lead by example in the classroom, in extracurricular activities, and in the work force. She is highly motivated with a positive outlook on life. Olivia is a well-rounded, highly motivated student who always helps others, as did her father, and strives to make the world a better place.” High school guidance counselor Stephanie Wheeler adds, “Olivia is an extraordinary student and young lady who is passionate in achieving her education.”
