Meghan’s career goal is to become a physical therapist. She has secured clinical rotation spots in three different areas of the country in order to further her physical therapy skills and treat patients while receiving feedback from a current licensed physical therapist. Receiving this scholarship would allow Meghan to focus on patient care without the added financial stressors of moving three times and paying back loans.
Meghan has been volunteering with a program called EXPAND for over a year which she states has been incredibly empowering in helping improve the quality of life for individuals with neurological disorders. This volunteer work has given her the opportunity as well to improve her hands-on patient care.
In a letter of recommendation written by Dr. John F. Greany, he cites Meghan’s consistent polite and respectful attitude towards professionals and is always involved in projects and concepts discussed in class. He notes that Meghan has routinely scored in the top 10% of her class and excels in learning and organizational skills. For these reasons he would recommend her for this scholarship.
