Kensley remains determined to forge a career path to honor her father and his example that he set for her. She shares that her Foundation scholarship awards have allowed her to remain focused on her academics and maintaining her GPA without stressing over significant financial debt to obtain her education. She is now pursuing her business degree to obtain a job within Human Resources or as a Healthcare Administrator. Kensley’s personal goals are to work hard, never give up, to make her family proud, and to establish a secure financial future for herself.
Being a full-time student working a full-time job, she finds time to volunteer in the community with Abigail’s Plan Buddy Ball league, which gives others with special needs the ability to play baseball. Kensley shares this experience has been rewarding as she gets to assist each player to enjoy the game whether its playing on the field or running the bases.
Kensley’s high school counselor states, “I have seen her flourish academically and in her extracurricular activities. Kensley is a positive role model to her peers, works hard in all that she does and has maintained good grades while working a full-time job.”
