Brendan is currently a Freshman at Missouri State University pursuing Fashion Merchandising. Upon graduation, he plans to become a fashion buyer or marketing manager.
His personal goal is to become more outgoing and is doing so by joining a Fraternity and the Association of Fashion and Design. Brendan feels this will help him to become more vocal and more of a leader. While his priority is to continue to excel academically, he set a goal to pay it forward by obtaining 20 hours of community service by the end of his current semester. Toward this effort, just prior to Valentine’s Day, he made Valentine’s Day cards for children who are hospitalized.
Guidance Counselor Lauren Eikel states, “Brendan experienced a traumatic sports injury in his junior year, breaking his leg. Less than a year later, he tragically lost his father to cancer. These very significant events would have caused the average student to shut down, but he demonstrated strength and determination while performing well academically.”
