Walker Hill was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on June 21, 1974. He proudly committed his life to the people of Baton Rouge, serving 24 years with the Baton Rogue Fire Department, most recently as a fire captain with Engine Company 6 C-Shift.
He began his career with BRFD in 1998 and was promoted to the role of captain in 2017. During his time of service he received four lifesaving awards, two fire service excellence citations, and even helped to deliver a baby.
Walker took great pride in his calling as firefighter, showing a deep loyalty to his career and the dedicated men and women who filled the ranks of the fire service.
His deepest devotion lay with his family and the fire department, both of whom will immensely feel his absence, a testament to the profound impact he had on those he loved most.
