Firefighter Van Buren “V.B.” Murphy, age 26, of the Fort Worth Fire Department died on November 6, 1939, from apparatus crash injuries while responding to a call.
V.B. was a member of the department for three years, joining the department in June 1936.
He is survived by his wife and 16-month-old daughter.
