Roll of Honor

Firefighter
Year of Death: 1932

Terry Anderson

Members of Kingman’s volunteer fire department had loaded into their fire truck and were engaged in a drill when the handle being gripped by Andy Anderson broke, propelling him to the pavement. Described by many as one of the town’s most beloved citizens and by his friends as a “scrapper,” he succumbed to his injuries.

This firefighter line of duty fatality occurred before the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial was built in Emmitsburg, Maryland. While this firefighter has not been officially honored at the Memorial site, there are plans to do so when resources are available.
