Joined the Ferdinand Volunteer Fire Department in 1974. Served as Fire Chief for three years prior to his death. Active member of the American Legion‚ Ferdinand Catholic Church‚ Ferdinand Little League Program. Served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam veteran.

Ralph is survived by his wife Judith‚ sons Darin and Eric‚ and daughter Stacy.

Ralph followed in the footsteps of his father‚ Edwin‚ as Fire Chief‚ and was followed by his brother‚ Daniel‚ who replaced Ralph as Fire Chief.
