Phillip D. Ridings‚ 52‚ a 10-year member of Hornersville Volunteer Fire Department‚ died on July 16‚ 2000‚ of a heart attack at a structure fire. A 23-year U.S. Army veteran‚ he received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. As a licensed pilot‚ he served on the Presidential flight crew under President Ford.
