Private Paul A. Nadeau was born in Lewiston, Maine on November 11, 1913. He joined the Lewiston Fire Department on May 6, 1946. He died in the line-of-duty on April 30, 1966 at the age of 52. He passed away at the Lincoln Street-Substation suffering a heart attack after battling a fire at the Exchange Hotel on Chapel Street.
