He was also Chief Safety Officer with Cy-Creek Volunteer Fire Department‚ Instructor at the Texas A&M Fire School‚ and Instructor for the Houston Fire Department Citizens Fire Academy.
He was a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo‚ serving as an Investigator for the Rodeo’s Safety Committee.
We will all‚ in various ways‚ dwell on his life and his supreme sacrifice. We will come to miss his loving generosity‚ his goodness and his unselfishness.
Jay’s legacy of heroism and our fond memories of him will guide us in all we do. And in doing so‚ we will continue to honor the memory of Our Fallen Hero who will never be forgotten.
Jay was a fun lovin and devoted family man. He graduated from Spring Branch High School 1980. Was part of the football and track team. He and his buddies called themselves the Wild Butt Hairs, when a friend stepped out of line, Jay was there to get them back on track. Jay will always be remembered and never forgotten.
