Firefighter Harold F. Hastings, age 39, of the Fire Department City of New York died on August 2, 1978 in a roof collapse during a fire at a Waldbaum’s Supermarket in Brooklyn, New York.
He was assigned to Battalion 42 and appointed to the department on October 6, 1962.
In his spare time, Harold liked working on his car.
He is survived by his wife Donna and children Bryan, Christine, and Dawn.
