Guandes Deshun Smith, who everyone knew as “Mook,” passed just a few days shy of his 28th birthday. He left behind two children, ages 5 and 7, and a stepson, age 12.

Mook was kind, smart, very intelligent, and helpful. He always put the ones he loved the most first, and that’s what everyone loved about him. He was a great father, son, brother, and grandson.

His death was tragic to family, and no matter how many times we prepared ourselves for his passing, we weren’t ready to let him go.

He’ll forever be in our hearts.
