Gary Edwin Berg of North Prairie, Wisconsin, was born March 20,1967, in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Following in the footsteps of his mom and dad and many other family members, Gary was involved in Future Farmers of America during his high school years. He graduated from Kettle Moraine High School in 1985.
After graduating from high school, he was involved in everything that had to do with family, including the fire department. He became a member of the North Prairie Volunteer Fire Department in 1985, as soon as he turned 18. He served as lieutenant, captain, and MPO and was considered one of the best MPOs in the area. He was always there to help anyone and everyone, even if it meant leaving Christmas dinner. Once his children became old enough, they also pursued his passion for helping others.
Gary served with the North Prairie Fire Department for 36 years, until he succumbed to complications of COVID-19.
Gary was always with his family, whether it was camping with his grandchildren in the front yard of his home, riding his Harley down country roads, or taking his side-by-side on the back wood trails.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Cynthia and Edwin Berg.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 29 years, Lisa M. (Linde) Berg; sisters, Teri, Sherl and Cindy; children, Jessica (Dustin), Christine, and Tyler (Emily); and grandchildren, Jayden, Paige, Brooke, Kesler, Cole, Ali, and Carson.
