Frank Castro Sanchez Jr.

Frank C. Sanchez Jr. was born on November 11, 1959, to Frank and Mary Sanchez Sr. in San Antonio, Texas. After the family moved to Wisconsin, he went to school in the Omro Public School District. Frank graduated from Omro High School in 1979 and joined the United States Army, where he served until 1982. Frank continued his service in the National Guard for an additional four years.

In 1980, Frank married his high school sweetheart, Shari Thums. Frank and Shari created a family with the addition of Randall (deceased), Christina, and Andrew. Frank and Shari were blessed with two grandchildren from Andrew and Crystal, Mackenzie and Camden, Christina and Johnny had a son, Johnathan, that Frank unfortunately did not get to meet before his untimely passing.

Frank loved music so much that he started his own DJ service called “The Rhythm of the Night.” Frank provided music for weddings, birthdays, family get-togethers, and sometimes for bonfires in the backyard.

Frank had a heart for helping people—family, friends, and people he did not even know. He was always willing to give a helping hand. Frank’s service did not have a punch clock. Day or night, you could count on him. In his 23 years with the Nekimi Fire Department, Frank quickly moved up the ranks to chief.

Frank always had a wonderful smile that everyone knew and loved, Frank is greatly missed by his family and friends.
