Submitted by his Wife
Dennis was a member of the Dayville Fire Company for 18 years. At the time of his death he was a Lieutenant of the ladder truck. He was very involved in his community as he was involved in Cub & Boy Scouts and helped with girl scouts‚ tee ball and baseball coach‚ adult-child bowling league‚ and was a school bus driver for his town also. He was awarded several awards in Boy Scouts.
His survivors are his wife Linda‚ daughter Holly‚ and son Eric who has followed his footsteps in the Dayville Department since age 16. His son now is the Lieutenant of the ladder truck just like his dad. Also left behind are his father Real‚ brother Roger and sister Rita.
One of his dreams‚ confided in his daughter‚ was to be able to go to his resting place carried on an engine. This became a reality with the hard work of his wife and dedication of his fellow firefighters.
Dennis will be forever in the hearts and memories of all those he has touched. WE LOVE YOU DENNIS!
Lived next door to Dennis’s dad Real, in Kissimmee FL, 2004/05. Real was proud of is his son Dennis, and spoke often of him. Real was a great friend and neighbor. Wish I’d known Dennis too!
