Firefighter Tepper … I was a Queens New Yorker, when I would first know of the tragic fire that took your life and the lives of your colleagues in New York City in 1966. There, I would eventually become a schoolmate of your eldest son, Benjamin Shaundell Tepper; actually, we would be girlfriend/boyfriend for a little while, and I would become acquainted with your other children, his older sister and younger brother, as well. I believe I know that your children loved you and were proud of you and missed you, deeply; and, as a New Yorker first, I also held and do still hold the memory of you and your colleagues in deep respect … Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
