Anthony A. DeSimone was a 23-year veteran of the North Haven Fire Department. He suffered a fatal medical emergency after completing a shift. Anthony first served as a volunteer firefighter with the Northeast Volunteer Fire Company #4 and later became a career firefighter with North Haven Fire Department. He was a member of both Local 2987 and the Northeast Volunteer Fire Association. He had previously served as the family liaison for another New Haven firefighter who died in the line of duty.

He was born in New Haven, the son of the late Charles P. Simone Sr. and Marge DeLizio DeSimone and graduated from North Haven High School in 1991. He was remembered as a pillar of the community, selfless and responsible, always willing to step up and help. He volunteered with local civic organizations including the Knights of Columbus Council 3733 and North Haven Little League.

He was the beloved husband of 20 years to Pamela DeSimone, father of Dominic and Victoria DeSimone, and brother to the late Charles P. DeSimone Jr. He was also survived by extended family and friends.
