Leo Lionel Crisanto died on January 4‚ 2012‚ while participating in daily‚ required training exercises with CAL-FIRE as part of his assignment to the Cuesta Fire Camp. He was participating with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation’s inmate Firefighter Training Program‚ where low-custody‚ non-violent offenders are given an opportunity to train to become state certified firefighters.

Leo was born in Santa Clara‚ California‚ on August 11‚ 1957. A beloved son‚ brother‚ husband‚ father‚ and grandfather‚ Leo loved the outdoors‚ riding his ’69 Harley‚ and playing pool. He lived life to the fullest‚ and his smile and sense of humor will be missed.

Leo was survived by his wife‚ Diane; his mother‚ Maria de Jesus; siblings‚ Sylvestre‚ Xavier (Vivian)‚ Lupe‚ Ralph (Susie)‚ and Louie; children‚ Christine Martinez (Eddie)‚ Eric‚ Lynita‚ Albert‚ Rachel‚ and Leo; stepchildren‚ John and Vincent; and three handsome grandsons‚ Elias‚ Andrew‚ and Miles Martinez. He was preceded in death by his father‚ Alberto‚ and brother‚ Alfredo.
