Steve was just two weeks shy of graduating from the Chicago Fire Academy. An unfortunate training accident led to his untimely death. Prior to entering the CFD academy‚ Steve was a police officer‚ first for the ConRail Railroad and then the Village of Hickory Hills‚ IL. He received several commendations from both departments for bravery and outstanding service.

Steve left behind an adoring wife‚ MaryRose‚ and two fabulous children‚ Anne and Steven‚ Jr‚ who were 8 & 5 respectively at the time of his death. He also was survived by his parents and 11 brothers and sisters and their families. We will miss Steve’s smile‚ his laugh and his storytelling ability‚ but will never forget what a loving individual he was.
