Firefighter Richard P. Gifford, of the Fire Department City of New York Engine 238, died on October 26, 1962, while fighting a fire at the Sefu Fat and Soap Company on Queens Box 7027.
He was appointed on May 20, 1960 and assigned to Engine Company 238.
