Imani is currently a junior at Alabama State University and is the second oldest of four children. She is pursuing an education in music performance with a minor in recording technology. Upon graduation, Imani plans to obtain a career as a musical composer.
In the last year, she has joined the Sigman Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity, the National Society of Leadership and Success and the NAACP. Imani shares that these organizations have opened a whole world of connections and opportunities for her. She has also obtained an unpaid internship this coming summer working the music industry and a winter internship abroad in Bangkok, Thailand.

This program has been very effective for the 10 young women allowing them to show improvement in their independence and self-advocacy, as well as their mental health.”
