Andrew’s career goal is to become a computer programmer. He shared that he has dealt with some mental health issues and that the scholarship helps alleviate some anxiety about paying for college.
He previously volunteered as a recreation leader for Vacation Bible School at his church.
Retired FDNY Firefighter Anthony Tavoulareas says that from a young age, Andrew was kind and caring, always looking out for others. He shares his father’s characteristics of hard work and dedication and has stepped up to help his mother and younger siblings. Teacher Patricia O’Sullivan says that Andrew’s employers at a town pool were extremely pleased with Andrew’s dedication to the job, his excellent customer service, and his commitment to being a responsible worker.
