Hallmark Channel Donates to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation

EMMITSBURG, MD - The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is pleased to announce that Hallmark Channel, in conjunction with the release of its Hallmark Channel Original Movie For the Love of Grace, has made a $25,000 donation to the Foundation.

An act of heroism changes the lives of two strangers affected by the past, and allows them to face the uncertain future together in For the Love of Grace, a Hallmark Channel Original Movie. Mark Consuelos, Chandra West, and Corbin Bernsen star in the drama, which looks at what happens when those who put their lives on the line every day are the ones most in need of saving.

In the movie, Grace is rescued when her apartment catches fire, and she then visits the firehouse to thank the firefighter who saved her life. There she learns the firefighters have developed exemplary culinary skills during their downtime, and this inspires Grace to capture those recipes in a cookbook. Real life firefighters from across the United States contributed their favorite recipes for this cookbook. It is available for download at: www.hallmarkchannel.com.

In recognition of the support of America's fire service on this project, Hallmark Channel is proud to honor fallen heroes and to help provide resources to assist their survivors in rebuilding their lives. The donation was sent to the Foundation through FDNY Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta, in honor of all fallen firefighters, including those who lost their lives at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

"Hallmark Channel is honored to recognize the remarkable work the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation does in caring for the survivors of fallen firefighters," stated Henry Schleiff, Hallmark CEO.

"Firefighters commit acts of bravery that put their lives in peril every day. When a firefighter dies, the mandate of the Foundation is to help their survivors rebuild their lives," said Chief Ronald Jon Siarnicki, Executive Director, National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. "Hallmark's donation will help make that possible."
