Mark Moon
Mark Moon is Senior Vice President of Government and Commercial Markets for Motorola, Inc. He is responsible for all North America and US Federal Government operations including product management, sales, engineering, systems integration, and service. In addition, Mark is Co-Chair of Motorola's Corporate Sales and Services Council. Mark joined Motorola in 1985 as a project manager in Atlanta, Georgia. During the next several years, he served in a variety of management positions within Motorola's Service and Project Management Divisions. Mark was a key participant in the formation of the Systems Integration organization and in 1995 he became Director of Technology for Motorola's sponsorship of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia. Mark was promoted to Vice President and Director of Systems Integration for the Western Division in 1997 and relocated to San Diego, California. He served in this capacity for three years before assuming responsibility for the Large Projects Sales Team as Vice President and Director of Sales. In April 2002, Mark relocated to Florida to lead the Southern Division as Vice President and General Manager and was appointed as an Officer of Motorola, Inc. the following year. In 2005, Mark led the consolidation of the geographic divisions within the United States into one new organization that would focus on State and Local Government and Commercial Markets customers. In February 2005, Mark was elevated to Corporate Vice President of Government and Commercial Markets and assumed leadership of Motorola's US Federal Markets Division. In December of 2006, Mark was elevated to Senior Vice President, Motorola, Inc. Mark received a bachelor's degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. He enjoys almost all sports, both as a participant and a spectator, and spends much of his free time participating in school and sports activities with his kids. Mark resides in North Barrington, Illinois with his wife and two children.
